In November 2018, I was visited by a representative of Andrew Wilson & Co enforcement, chasing a £911.21 high court debt. I had not been written to by Andrew Wilson, they appeared to go directly to door step collection. I was away working, but was forced to pay £1,976.63 to Andrew Wilson. I have checked papers recently, hence this post, they charged £1,065.45 to collect. What legal redress do I have, if any. I believe I was overcharged by around £740.

You need to write to them and ask for a breakdown of the fees you were charged. Alternatively serve a Subject Access Request on them - it is free but can take up to 30 days to get a response.
Have you moved within the last 5 years or so? Are you aware of any CCJ being awarded against you?Comment
