  • Asset Collections and Perch Capital.

Hi there. Obviously new to the forum and would like to ask for some advice.
To cut a very long story short I was issued with a County Court Claim at the end of last year by Asset Collections ( Lending Stream was the OC) I decided to defend the claim and after months of to and fro, attempted mediation etc a County Cory date was set. The claim was however struck out this in February of this year as ACI didn’t pay the hearing fee. End of story or so I thought... 2 days ago I received an email from ACI saying that the debt had been sold to Perch Capital but that ACI would service the account. This seemed strange??I did some research and it seems ACI and Perch are basically the same company. Same owners, directors and members etc. So in effect ACI have sold themselves their own “debt”
I’m basically asking your legal minds for advice on how to proceed. I would be happy to defend this case again if needs be. Thanks in advance.

    Hi

same thing has happened to me!

Although im not really bothered to be honest. Perch Capital dont have a google business page yet as I wanted to leave a review but did see a 192 page.

but it seems like they might be sending all the loans that have been struck out or to do with payday loan companies to perch capital. Could be the company made to take the losses as letters don't make it sound like they are chasing you.

who knows what kind of volume of complaints have been made about Lending Stream practices so this could also mean something is happening with them, hopefully customer refunds and loans written off.

The company Perch Capital formed feb 2018 and formerly called TM assetco but has been inactive. The same scumbag directors as ACI

GBExile Amethyst These guys gave me great advise on TM legal and asset investigation or whatever else these guys call them self. I was told to Just ignore them and I don't think they can really do much.

Wouldn't worry too much about them and this is a top site for advise if they do decide to try anything !

I’m in a similar situation with TM Legal acting on Perch Capital’s behalf. Threatening me with CCJ’s and what not. They’ll send you correspondence but they won’t respond to any queries you have to the legitimacy of the debt.

Shall I ignore them? I feel like I should, based on what I’ve read on here so far.

Ignore them unless you receive a letter before claim ( it will contain a reply form ) or a claim form from the court.

definitely would ignore asset and perch, to be fair the ignoring tactic is working a treat.

They actually sent me over a offer of 50% reduction if I paid the amount of in full a few week back, was tempted to take the offer nearly but Like the name says im not paying you.

interestingly Perch capital are showing up as a portable toilet company on google !*
