I am just enquiring if British Gas use a genuine warrant or a fraudulent warrant to gain access into somebody’s property

Yes they can obtain a genuine Magistrates Warrant in certain circumstances, it is an offence to obstruct the execution of it and so you need to elaborate as to what circumstance they are seeking one?

Warrants obtained by energy suppliers are obtained in the Magistrates Court and not the County Court because the require the consent to forcibly enter the property.

The OP needs to give more detail to be able to firstly understand why they are seeking or have sought a warrant of entry and then we can advise what potentially can be done to prevent it or execution of it.

The most common cause is the occupier of the property being in debt to the supplier and the supplier wanting to fit a prepayment meter, but there are other reasons they can seek to enter a property.
