    hi everyone

been looking through this site and am very impressed , l have ongoing debt problems since dec 2006 these are currently being dealt with throu CCCS

Have already managed to get £6,000 taken off my debts with the delightful HALIFAX/HBOS by getting bank charges/ interest and ppi refunded , a long hard slog but got there in the end only after involving the FOS who ruled in my favour on each complaint after the Halifax told me where to go so to speak !!

found this site after a post from someone on martin lewis site

l need help as one of my debts [p/loan] as been sold on to CABOT without the ppi taken off the amount as agreed . l understand that they should not have done this , as l was harrassed by the halifax by phone constantly before my debt went to their in-house collections team [blair oliver scott] who may l say were great , l am now panicking that l might be opening a can of worms again as currently off work for the 3rd time in 2 yrs due to stress + depression

lm worn out + scared can anyone help :behindsofa:

    thanks
im going kicking and screaming all the way

    Hi carrie

Welcome to Beagles, good to see you and you sound like you are getting things sorted and have made some good progress with reclaiming those charges.

You will probably be best off starting with a post in the DEBT forum. If you can detail the reasons behind the agreement to remove the PPI from the debt before passing it over to CABOT, also amounts, dates and where things are currently at. Is the debt one of the ones
in the CCCS DMP ? We've quite a few peeps on here with a fair bit of experience of CABOT and I'm sure they'll tell you what to expect and the best way to deal with them.

Also a little background of your circumstances and other debts would be useful.

Can understand you being worn out, it is hard work getting straight, but please don't be scared.

    Welcome to the site

    Ame

        Hello carrie,
A very warm welcome to beagles and well done on what you haave achieved so far.
There is a lot of info in the debt forum as to what happens when your debt has been sold on etc.
If you do not get anything of use to you in there, then I suggest you do a new thread in the Cabot forum.Giving as much info as you can but with no personal details on there. Hope this helps Enaid x
