  • PPI claim against a company now dissolved

Hi, I took out a mortgage in 2004 prior to the FCSA coming into force. The broker that sold me the PPI are now dissolved and the legal ombudsman has advised me that I have no recourse against the company.

I have the documents that show the PPI was missold as I was self employed at the time therefore the policy was void in any event, however I also came into finalncial trouble but was never afforded the benefit of any policy.

Can I have the company reinstated onto companies house to take action against them?

Probably not unless they have JUST dissolved.

    Who are the companies involved?

The broker was Robertsons and the bank was abbey national.
I argued with abbey that they knew I was self employed as it was stated on the forms but they allowed the sale, they said it was nothing to do with them
