There is a risk that from time to time Trowers & Hamlins' name may be used by fraudsters in scam emails or other communications or on fake websites. This is a problem that is currently affecting the legal profession as a whole and our regulator, the Solicitors Regulation Authority, publishes details of known scams in England and Wales on its website at http://www.sra.org.uk/alerts/.

Please note that our only website is www.trowers.com and emails from the firm will be sent from the trowers.com domain. If you receive an email from any other email address it is probably fake and may be fraudulent and/or contain a computer virus.

Please note that we are currently aware of the following emails being sent to members of the public:
    • An email purporting to be from "Anna Metham". The email is being used to impersonate a real lawyer at Trowers (Anna Metham, Senior Associate, Manchester) and looks to contain a virus.

Trowers & Hamlin are an international law firm and it would seem Peter Ward is a partner there, although his profile doesn't show.

Curious why you think this is a scam - have you checked the email address being sent (if it was an email?)
