Hi. Could any one advise me as please! A builder came to do work on our house. To cut long story short. He basically left my house barley liveable and money for a boiler and central heating.we had a quantity survey done and he basically owed us 10.000. A friend passed on our no to a consultant who had more knowledge of filling out the paper work on small claims and mediation. This has been going back and forth since last June. The builder in question has just got a paralegal. And she is trying to strike the case out of court and make us pay his legal cost. We r already broke because of him and having to pay a visa bill to finish some of the work on house . And now it seems I need to get a solicitor atŁ 240 phr . Is there anything I can do to amend the forms myself. I would have represented myself in the first place but I am scared of the man as he is aggressive and have since found out he has several ccjs. If anyone could help it would be much appreciated.

Which wrong box ? On the N1 claim form ? Did this consultant sign the statement of truth as a solicitor / legal representative? ( and is he either ?) and the other side are applying to strike out your claim because of that ?

      This part ?

Have you received a copy of the application ?

HI. He signed it as a legal representative and should of signed it as claimant litigation friend. Yes that's why thy are trying to strike it out. Their claim has gone to court and the deputy district judge has requested the claim to be varied.set aside or stayed and we must submit the application to the court with the appropriate fee within 8 days. Because it was done without anyone being there. We are unsure of what varied, set aside and stayed means. Thank u
