Unknown CCJ

Hello.

I'm after some advice. Through no fault of our own we are being eveicted from our house and we have less than two weeks until we are homeless.

We are having problems getting a property because we found out after the first credit check that my fiance had a CCJ from Lowell solicitors and we knew absolutely nothing about it being a CCJ. We knew about the account, it was being paid monthly but we had no letters, summons or calls about it being a CCJ or about attending court and it did not show on Noddle or Clear score. We literally didn't know.

The remainder of the debt has been cleared, but we are being turned down right left and centre from properties and experiencing discrimination. We have letters from the court confirming the debt is clear but we just don't know what to do?

Do you have any advice. We are literally homeless on April 30th.

Is the eviction related to your having the CCJ applied ? Or is that just affecting your getting a new property ?

What date was the judgment ? And did you start making payments after that date ? ( not realising it was already a ccj ?)

How much is it ?

Any idea what the original debt was ?

You have paid paid off the judgment and have a certificate of satisfaction ?

Can you get a tenancy in your sole name ( if your credit file is clear )?

If it becomes so you need to apply to set aside the judgement due to you not having received any notice of the claim this should help - but not within two weeks ( it'd take 3/4 months from applying to have the ccj removed - then only IF you were successful....
