  • Stopped overtaking

I was overtaking a lorry on a long straight but must confess I found myself short of time . To compound this tve car coming the other way was a police car. I pulled over about a mile up the road and the police car with a single driver returned and stopped. He gave me a telling off but did not ask me anything about the incident or even my name, he did not ask for any vehicle details or to present any and also did say he was reporting me. However when I drive off he appeared to be writing something down. Is there anything I should do at the moment

Sorry I made a mistake in my last post. I wanted to say “he did not say he was reporting me”

Just don't underestimate the distance you require for over taking and please warn me next time you're driving in my area

He's probably just made a note of your reg so if you almost annihilate him ( or someone else ) again there's a note that you're a serial bad driver lol but no, nothing you need to do other than pay more attention next time

or he might have remembered he needed to add eggs to his shopping list ....
