  • Blemain Finance/Together

Long story short, partner took out a second mortgage with Blemain July 2006, however due to being self employed and an erratic income payments were missed, the company forced entry to the property for repossession. The payments were brought up to date however, mutlipul charges have accumulated on the account via letters being issued or phone calls and legal letters. Payment for the last five years have been made on time, only to receive a phone call to advise that the account is in arrears and basically we have two options, either increase the monthly payments to just short off £600 per month for the next seven years or pay the arrears in full.

Just need some advice where we stand, do we have a case for unfair charges, is the company regulated?

Not sure which way to turn.

    Thanks in advance

Has the house been repossessed? or did the payments get made up and the possession order was suspended ? ( apologies it's not clear if you're paying back a shortfall or making your normal monthly payments plus an additional amount on the arrears ?)

Was the Loan a business loan secured by guarantee or a personal secured loan ?

The payments were made and the possession was suspended. The payments have been the normal monthly payments.

The loan was a personal secured loan

Have you a copy of the original loan agreement and was it signed by the lender.
