  • Lowell Solicitors - Alleged Sky debt

    Hello there,

    I've had Lowell chasing me for a while now - long story but it's for an old disputed Sky debt (5 yrs since last acknowledged) for around £200 where they mixed up accounts and billed me for someone elses services - I gave up with in the end as I was hitting a brick wall with it and went off travelling.

    I have recently had calls, texts and letters from Lowell which I've thus far ignored but have now recieved a 'Pre-Legal Assessment' followed by a text from Lowell solicitors today asking me to contact them.

    I've still not acknowledged anything and don't know whether to wait until the 'letter before claim' comes through before I properly tackle the situation.

    Fortunately I do still have some proof that I don't owe the money and call logs to Sky from 5 years ago which is why I was sitting tight and keeping quiet.

    Could anyone offer advice on what to do at this stage?

    Sit tight for the letter of claim then ask for documents .. but while you wait get a subject access request to Sky https://legalbeagles.info/library/gu...ccess-request/

        Hi there,
        Ok, so I just recieved the 'Letter of claim' ...With 30 days to respond, interestingly it's dated a whole 11 days prior to my recieving it (today) cutting down my time to reply massively.
        I've made the SAR with Sky which they've acknowledged but not sent across yet but basically it only gives me 2 days between the date they need to supply by and the date Lowell threaten to move forward....
        Could you please advise me on what best to do atthis stage without having the SAR details?
