Is the CCJ a forthwith order ? Did you defend or submit an admission and offer ?

You can either negotiate directly with the judgment holder or you can apply to the court to set installments- form N245. https://www.gov.uk/government/public...on-of-an-order

So it's quite an old ccj that you weren't aware of and have just found out about ? Any idea what it's for ? How much is it ?

Ring court ( Northampton County court business centre most likely ) with the claim number and ask if they can send you the claim details. Tell them you've just found it on your credit file.

You may be able to apply to set aside the judgment.

              Okay.

Call court for details of the claim. The claim may have gone to an old address. The court should be able to email you.

Then send a SAR to Next. https://legalbeagles.info/library/gu...ccess-request/ To get the background info.

Who is the claimant and who who do they think they sold the judgment debt to ?

If you just pay the ccj it will remain on your credit file for 6 years though it will be marked as satisfied.

Have you had a warrant of control issued against you ?

How did you find out about the judgment and when ?

Ring court tomorrow and get details of the claim.

If there is a warrant you want to act quite quickly, either by submitting and application to set aside the judgment form N244 ( Set Aside Application ), or by applying to the court for 'redetermination' and to suspend the warrant - form N245 ( https://www.gov.uk/government/public...on-of-an-order )
