I had a CCJ for a parking fine and was never sent the claim forms to defend myself, so the judgement went against me. I therefore paid in full, within a week of the judgement, in order for it not to be on my credit record. Now the solicitors for the claimant - who I paid in full - are demanding yet more money. How can I stop them pursuing me? I can't owe any more than the court says, surely?

No you don't.
What are they chasing you for now?
( and you could have applied to set it aside if you never received the claim, but that's done and dusted now )
If they've written to you can you pop up a copy of the letter ( redacted) and the original judgment order ( again, redacted ).#staysafestayhome

Thanks for getting back to me. Copy of the judgement attached. 2 letters arrived today, both stating: 'Balance Due £22.00. We write with reference to the above matter. We wish to discuss this matter further with you. Please contact us...... ' by phone or register on our site...
Neither of which I will be doing. Perhaps I will try the CAB tomorrow. I only paid because it was a done deal - no chance to defend myself and it costs I believe a further £250 to have it set aside.

Perhaps I should add, after I paid the CCJ I had 2 letters from the court, both apologising for not sending me a claim pack, one saying the CCJ was removed and one sending a claim pack and saying if I had already paid I should respond anyway so they had a record of this. I sent them the copy of the CCJ and proof of the payment, but haven't filled in the claim pack - surely I'm not going to be taken to court again?
