hi everyone ive paid 13 months back so far and have just decided to delete the standing order as i cant get hold off anyone from NTC new trades carrers. all ive had is one book and a cd that doesnt even work. the affordability sheet we went through at the time off sign up was unreal the salesman even said i dont think you can afford this course unless my spouse put 100 towards it he said that would get the credit through. Alarm bells should of been ringing but the promise of a better job and being able to work round my current one i was sold. carnegie have now passed it over to a debt collector and have served me a deafult notice letter but it still doesnt appear on my clear score? has anyone had any good news in getting out of this or are we all in the same boat? they are all in this together. any advice would be deeply appreciated
    cheers
    aaron

I’m having no luck on this one at the moment, I’m in touch with hallmark solicitors but I’m going to seek others who can help most with our case. I think we all need to come together and make a claim with the same solicitors to make our case stronger as it looks like we are going to really struggle on our own, will anyone join me in the case to get us all cancelled? I’m prepared to take this on? Please message me

I as well have been in the same situation with an electrical course. I had around 650 left to pay out of 7000 and my financial situation got worse and couldn’t pay any more.
I’ve tried requesting a payment holiday which was declined and ever since I’ve stopped paying I get daily phone calls and text(sometimes emails) from various Glasgow based numbers(never bothered to answer) interesting fact is that in the they never mention anything about a credit in the text or emails, they just say that they want to discuss a personal business matter urgently and to get back to them.
I can only dream to recover my money

Outcome from ombudsman service was not effective. I did not expect much from them as their investigation can not stretch far. However my position remains the same I will not pay a penny to this scam at all. They will not scare monger me into doing so at all. Carnegie text every week and I email twice a month stating my position has not changed and that I will not be paying them a penny. It’s important to do this as if you ignore them completely they may attempt to suggest that you have gone awol and apply to ccj you.
I don’t know if this has happened anyone but sending the same email twice a a month will make sure they cannot do so. Carnegie are left with one final option and they now have 4 years with me to do so so and that is to summons me to a small claims court to attempt to either get money from me or apply a ccj. If they dare try I will be ready to fight my case at court tooth and nail. However I doubt they will as it will be a lose lose situation for them as if I prove their services with ntc course was not at a standard quality for most to succeed the course then they lose and will have to pay for my lawyer fees and if I lose then I will not have the money to pay for their fees or anything else the want.
so it will not be worth it. However if Carnegie have ccj anyone by way of court attendance I would love to know.
my email is curbs123@gmail.com. It would be good to make a telegram group for all those that are on the same boat against Carnegie.

Carnegie is a scam. Do not pay them a penny. Email them your position at least twice a month until 6 years past. If they feel to pursue it which I doubt due to cost and fear of losing if you have a good solicitor they can only scare monger. Block the calls and only respond twice a month by way of email.

I was roped by one of the agents. Their mode of operation is just the same as described by other members here! I told him I was not having a job at the time. He made me believed that by the time i finished the first stage of the course i would even start work! He never told me i would be studying plumbing, while it was solar installation i opted for. I am so depressed and have suicide thoughts now!
