I had a letter from Northampton business centre who have entered a ccj against me with Lowell’s. I am venomently disputing this debt dating back to 2012 A’s statues barred and have sent all letters and emails stating this plus it was by bill outstanding which I am sure I paid when I moved. They never cut the line off and someone has run up a bill trouble is as it is so long ago I cannot prove this. I have entered into mediation and am waiting for a call for a slot for them to call me ...then I get this letter saying they have entered a judgment against me anyway. I have phoned the business centre and told them they had not right as this was still in mediation, they told me to call Lowell’s which I did, and they said it was the court that entered it...so now I want to know if I can sue someone for discrediting my name...any suggestions would be welcome please cause they are bullying people into paying when they don’t owe money or statues barred, which they are saying it’s not statues barred as they bought the debt when BT put it into default so it is in the time frame.
Hi. I am so angry if anyone can advise me...

Morning,
So, you had a contract with BT at your old property, and you moved in 2012, cancelling the service and paying ( as far as you recall) the outstanding bill.
BT sold the debt on to Lowell who have taken you to small claims court.
You've submitted your acknowledgement of service, defended the claim and filed your Directions Questionnaire agreeing to mediation.
Lowell have written to you stating judgment has been issued, however the court have said not and that it is awaiting mediation ? Lowell have then said the court issued the judgment ? Or have the court written to you saying there's judgment ?
Can you still log in on Moneyclaim online? If so, what does that say?
Have you a copy of the letter you got from Lowell and/or the Court pls.#staysafestayhome

Thanks for replying, the Northampton business centre have sent me “judgement for claimant” and I am to pay it at 100 quid a month...however when I phoned up the Northampton business centre they said Lowell’s had lodged the judgment against me...and to call Lowell’s which I did...their reply was “the Northampton business centre lodged it...but I had already agreed to mediation and was waiting for an appointment hour slot for them to mediate which they said in an email they would call me at some point.

Sounds like a cock up somewhere. You filed your defence and the court acknowledged it and sent out a Directions Questionnaire ?
Lowell could only request default judgment if you hadn't filed a defence ( or you had but the court messed up and didn't register it )
Maybe you can just do a timeline for me
Claim issue date xxxx
received claim on xxxx
acknowldged claim xxxx
entered defence xxxx
etc etc#staysafestayhome
