  • Broken ankle.

Morning all. I was working for a company and using a company car when I fell into a pothole and broke my ankle. I had a pin inserted and spent the first few months immobile and the next 6 months recovering. I am now less able to use my right leg as I used to. Climbing a step causes issue. I have also been left with lack of confidence and low mood.I felt someone should be responsible and there should be some sort of compensation.
However going through National Helpline and after much to-ing and fro-ing they declined it as they felt there was only a 50 per cent chance of winning.
I feel aggrieved daily when i think of what i went through and wonder is there someone who would take on the case? Win only payment preferred.

Hi there thank you for your interest. Yes but via National Accident Helpline. I did also get in touch with my local MP who spoke to them but no joy.

Okay, did they respond at all ? How long ago did Nat Accident helpline ditch the case ? And did they tell you why it had gone down to under 50% ?

Ditched it 18 months ago, no idea why it went down and the council responded and said there was some law to protect them against claims involving potholes. It was 60 per cent not 50 percent, I got that wrong. The council made a decision on this which my MP suggested they wouldn't go back on it.Thanks in advance.
