Hi I hope you can help please I have received a PPI claim for £4405.00 but the company who dealt with it is trying to charge me £1996.56 the company is Uclaim4me .
I called them up as I thought the most they could charge was 20% but they are denying this any help here would be greatly appreciated.

The guidance note on the interim fee cap has been published. This cap will come into force on 10 July 2018

CMCs will be required to ensure that all contracts connected to PPI claims that are signed by clients on or after 10 July 2018 comply with the restriction on fees.

Therefore as you entered into the agreement with UClaim4me before 10th July 2018 your commission fee is 33% plus VAT - or on £4405 it would be £1744.38 plus £10 admin charge - Total £1754.38.

So £1996.56 doesn't seem right unless they have changed their rate since you signed up with them. Do you have your original agreement / terms ? Otherwise, when approx did you sign up with them ?
