Hi, I thought I was on a genuine site for renewing a passport.....I used Teleadvisor Ltd. and I now wish to cancel the contract within the 14 day period. Payl8r (finance company) have advised me to contact Teleadvisor Ltd.* to cancel the contract before any monies can be refunded to me - this is proving impossible as they * do not answer the phone number provided, nor have they provided an email to acknowledge the 'booking'. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have the web address you used for teleadvisor ( they have a few) ? Likely this one https://www.passports-office.co.uk/ ?

If you don't need the credit facility then cancel that first. Tell them you are cancelling, don't take excuses. Do it in writing. This at least will minimise your losses.

Send an email to teleadvisor cancelling the booking. They are giving an mail address of info@passports-office.co.uk Make sure you flag the email with "delivery status notification" so that you can see when it got to their mail server. Also send a copy of your cancellation by first class post with free certificate of posting from a post office. The address they give is TeIadvisor Ltd, Third Floor, 86-90 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NE , which is their registered address, though they appear to work from St Leonards on Sea
