hello . I have received a letter after a ccj for unpaid credit card £1200. can someone please advise me how much can all debtors take - my income is £1100 from a part time job and I have a very huge non priority debt of over 50k from 10 plus creditors.. i will be filing for bankruptcy in future but i need to know how much can all these take from my wages.. thanks a lot

How long ago was the CCJ awarded against you and were you aware of it at the time? Did you acknowledge/defend/admit the claim and what was the judgment order for ( forthwith or instalments ) ? Are all these debts quite recently defaulted? ( ie within the last 6 years )
Re the Attachment of Earnings- Have you received the N56 form from the court? This has an income and expenditure sheet which you complete and the court will work out what your protected earnings are, and how much, if anything can go to the judgment holder.

thank you for reply Mike and Amethyst ... got can 2 months ago and I had not opened . got n56 4 days ago... please help.. my expenditure is quite high as I have to send money to my parents abroad , will judge consider this apart from my rent plus bills ?
