  • PPI Claims Company

Hi - Can anyone out there help. My husband and I submitted two ppi claims for mortgages through The Claims Guys last October and after being bombarded with various LOA which we completed and returned, heard nothing from them with regard to these particular claims. I have made several phone calls and and written requests to chase these claims and I was told that the Bank I was claiming from had not responded to them. Like many other people who seem to have found the Claims Guys to be rude and inefficient I wrote a letter of complaint to them and have finally received a response from them advising me that the Claims Guys had 'mistakenly' closed down the request to chase the claim with the bank. Due to the date and length of time of the original LOA I am advised that we need to sign a new LOA for each claim which they included in their letter to me. They also apologised and sent me some vouchers as compensation (£15). I don't want to have any more dealings with this awful company but am I still legally bound to use them following their admission that they 'closed the request to chase the bank' and now require new LOA. Many thanks if anyone can help.

I would expect that you could cancel the contract with them to their failing and a lack of trust and confidence in them acting on your behalf. Do you have a copy of that letter you could post the relevant part? and do you have a copy of your original agreement.

With the LOA's, did you ask them to look at ALL your accounts, or just specific ones - did you give them permission to check your credit file etc or give them a list of everything in their sign up form? ( just as you said bombarded with LOA's makes me think maybe you weren't expecting to have them dealing with so many accounts ) Was it JUST for the two PPI claims on your mortgages ? Did you discuss credit cards/loans etc with them?

What are the vouchers for btw? LovetoShop type stuff?
