Hi and thank you for letting me join the forum.
i have a question that I hope someone can help me with. I submitted a SAR to the governing body of my sport on 15/01/2018 (I am a full time athlete). I was told that there were numerous boxes relating to me, some information was where I was named in an email circular, hence so many boxes.
To date (04/04/2018) I have received 1 box of information, I have questioned where the remaining information is and have been told it is being redacted.
my question is, who has the right to access my personal data for redacting. It seems that anyone who can hold a black marker is being given access to redact and, is this data allowed to be taken home for redaction? (It’s my understanding that the people involved are doing it on their own time, I assume this means at home). Is this a data breach?
I suggested an extension on the 40 day period to supply my information as I was not contacted until day 36 after the initial submission and did not know that there was so much data to process but, to be honest this is now dragging on for months.
