LB coming up as 'Dangerous' site

Anyone else getting a ‘DANGEROUS SITE’ warning when they try and enter the LB Site? Then a big red DANGEROUS with a red warning triangle at the beginning of the address bar when they enter the site? It might be just me or google chrome security being a pain.

Yes we're aware, it seems Google have picked up on a link in a spam post overnight, which we've now removed and have to wait on Google re-assessing the site.

I now get a certain thrill out of ignoring these warnings. Close as I come these days to ‘life on the Edge’.

Google say it could be up to 72 hours to review, so I'm a bit stuck till they do that.

You could probably do with a good anti spam recaptcha building into the registration page. I installed one years ago when I was continually having my site forum spammed by bots, buy a bride posts and porn links. They are worth their weight in gold sometimes. On the other hand this could also be Google just getting heavy handed.

Yup all fixeded for you, I was going to fill the form in for you but ended up with a house full of kids (5 and I only actually have 3) so it went a bit pear shaped!!

Looks like AVG has got you down as a bad site. I turned off the web safety function to get here on Chrome

Yes that seems to take longer to sort out. AVG are still flagging it up. We're still working on getting it fully fixed today, and in a week or so we're moving to a new clean software and server so if there is anything lurking in the depths of the code we'll kill it then.

AVG came out with an update last night which seems to have solved the problem.

I'm going to barr new users from posting links - which makes spam a bit pointless. We're also setting something up so you have to take more than 10 seconds to do the regstration form (ie not a bot) and I've changed the Captcha back to the pictures of words.... see how many emails I get this time. Though I did still get a few asking me what the answer to the question was.. lol
