Not sure where the glitch thread is, so posting here

If i click a Left side icon ie 'whos online' i always have to log in again
even if i originally checked the 'remember me' box when i logged into the site

I am sometimes (quite often actually) getting 'You need to wait 20 seconds between searches...' straight after logging in on my work PC.

Good news is that it now says evening at the top when its evening and not afternoon.

Are you opening the `whos online` in a new window,tab or just the same page?

It is autoset to open in the same tab but(and yes I know you probably know this but for anyone that doesn`t) if you hold Shift key whilst clicking a link it will open the page in a new window, or holding Control key+link will open in a new tab in the same window. Try all these options and see if you are still getting the same results. Thats if Ame hasn`t already beat me to it and fixed it

What page do you open Beagles on to start with Tanz, do you sign in through a bookmark, if so which page? If it is "new posts" saved as a bookmark then it may be a cookie problem, I know this seems to be the general reply for everything, but try clearing your cookies. You would be surprised how many problems are caused by outdated cookies. To help with clearing cookies, always leave the forum by clicking the Legal Beagles button and not just closing your browser. This should automatically clear all session cookies ready for your next visit.

When I get to work later I will have a look mate. I think its adirect link the Legal Beagles in my address bar at the top of the page mate but will check this later.

Which I thought was a bit silly as shouldn't it be 20 seconds lol.

I get that problem a lot.
It's mainly when you search for new posts or your own posts or threads or Todays posts.
I keep getting that please wait 20 secs thing come up. Bloody annoying. I wait 20 secs and then it tells me to wait again.

Instead of searching for posts try using the new posts in the navbar and see if it makes any difference , this link here >>New Posts or this URL Legal Beagles
Will still have a look and see if I can spot anything but it won`t be today I`m afraid.

We have disabled the 20 seconds between searches function, this was set to 20 seconds when the database errors were occuring, as a search is quite server intensive. If the problem returns at all we may have to reintroduce it to 10 seconds or something but see how it goes for now.

The 30 seconds between posting we have taken down to 20 seconds. This is there to prevent forum flooding, basically against spammers.


Let us know if this wait 20 seconds pops up when you first log in ...I know 20 seconds is a long time when you are trying to get stuff done.

You just have an weird timemachine stylee puter. At least its sync'd day and night now. Let me know if that carrys on too tho.

mmmmmmm - have other sites been working ?

Havent heard of anyone else not being able to get in.

I used to have a problem on one puter where it would only let me into one particular site and anything else would go cant find page etc. I had some kind of virus on the puter. Not saying thats what it is. Usually if something like that happens a clear of cookies and a restart helps.
