I've replicated the Legal Beagles Masthead as per the forum page, Springer. I'll see if I can find a picture of a Beagle or a cartoon Beagle and produce another, more humorous poster.

Found the image used in the original LB masthead from a free clipart site. Hope this is okay. LBs can then choose which one to use (subject to Site Team okaying).

It seems the cheeky beagle mascot was and still is popular as well as being a symbol associated with the LB name.

I have found from experience that logos are best saved as WMF or JPEG files. If you have software that can edit and insert PDF files into documents, that is also okay.

I'm going to try the poster with the colour image of the dog on it in the local libraries where I live and see what the reaction is from visitors to the libraries. I do know that pictures, especially those with colour in them, attract attention, which is what we want to happen.

Yip, as they were only for online we did them as png's.

I like the colourful doggy too, was just uploading the original one that used to be on the logo in case you wanted it.

I use graphic design software, including website authoring software, and gif, jpeg or png files are fine for use online. Flash is about the best you will get for anything that is animated or you want to put video footage online. Youtube use Flash for running the videos on their site. I now have software for authoring e-books, including the online brochures you see on some websites, complete with pages that flip backwards and forwards.

FWIW, I reckon the original black & white beagle was good - and I liked Buggerlugs version of it taking a pee !!!

But the colour one is deffo more like a real-life beagle to me. And I'm NOT taking the pee.
