Lots of site issues

Just want to say there seem to be lots of site issues
1) I can not post via my mobile as it keeps adding letters and refusing what I type. - I can use my keypad on other sites or email or text so it seems to be this site
2) Chatbox is empty
3) Posts all have silly letters like A* and small squares - makes it almost impossible to read accurately

My PC screen is all over the place on LB since the change. I used to be able to just click on my drop-down menu which read :all the w's.....
legalbeagles.info/forums/usercp.php and that took me to my usercp.

Now, I go straight into Profile and there seems to be some missing white letters above the 's' in the Legalbeagles name at the top of the screen which link to other parts of the forum.

I then have to try and find my way around the various tabs until I find the posts subscribed to. I know my old machine still runs XP but I get into everything else, is this me, or is it the site? What am I doing wrong?

I know I don't particularly like change, but I did prefer the older set-up to be honest.

warwick65 Yip, I’m aware of the character thing and it’s being looked at. Â*Point 1 & 3 are the same issue. Â*Chatbox is empty until someone types in it - as you saw yesterday. I am trying to get it so it can be minimised when not in use.Â*

andrew1 - take www. Out of the link in your browser bar and change your bookmark to just https://LegalBeagles.info - the www. Is no longer in use ( it does get you here but doesn’t render properly )Â* we have made it auto change to remove the www but the browser cache needs a ctrl f5 really once you removed it.Â*

Oh and once you’ve done that, you should just be able to click on the bell to see notifications and latest posts on your subscribed threads.Â*

I can’t see Chatbox - even an empty one
I can’t access Who’s Online
I can’t do anything on my BlackBerry - only view
I can only access Today’s Posts and What’s New when logged in (not as a guest).
I’m also getting those square boxes and that A* thing (I’ve figured out a way to delete it but it takes time)
I can’t edit posts when using Chrome browser
I can’t quote posts when using Internet Explorer
I can’t do loads of things when on my iPad and iPhone

Otherwise everything works perfectly

I can use chrome successfully in both windows and my Android tablet and phones.

The funny characters: perhaps an incorrect setting in the language group?

Yep that's what I've been looking at Ostell,Â* it only started last few days so trying to figure out if it's an internal change or external change that we need to have kept up to date with atm

Doesn't seem to be the issue but will have to amend server side later to check.

Okay the symbol thing should be fixed ( might need to do a CTRL F5 ) it's not fixed on my iphone but I don't know how to clear cache on that so will have to wait to check it on Jules' phone later.

The problem was ( I think) that I'd added a Google search facility in the search section ( as a back up for if the built in site search was being a bit crap and finding no results when there clearly should be results ) and Google was sticking its oar in other places, as Google does, and cocking up the UTF ISO stuff.... that's the theory anyway. Let me know if it works now for you anyway.
