Never give up because dreams do come true

Many of you may know this - when I was 18 I was in one of those lovely Irish convents because I was pregnant and my little girl was adopted.
33 years later and ….
Here we are last week hugging after she received her Master’s degree.



Cannot tell you how it felt.

Thanks guys- you lot have also got me and many others through some dark days but what I really wanted to say to all those having an awful time -Your best days are still ahead and the bad stuff really does go away eventually.
Yep, left that convent with one bag and no hope. Oh, and an ache in my chest. I have been skint, hungry and frightened, been seriously ill, even been homeless and spent ages ‘floor surfing’ – (couch surfing would have been wonderful!)
But you know something; the harder you hit the bottom the higher you bounce. Finished my education, found a brilliant husband live in a beautiful home and as you can see from my bullocks back, no shortage of grub. But best of all I have spent the last three years getting to know someone I thought I would never see, or hug again.
If all I ever got was that hug then I can honestly say it was all worth it.
The big thanks has to go to her wonderful supportive parents.
