    Right Guys

We have a narrow strip of this colour on the left of our chimney breast in the living room (http://www.farrow-ball.com/drawing-r...product/100253) and I need a LIGHTER colour that goes with it on the chimney breast proper. I've narrowed it down to three and we'll go with the one that gets the most votes

    1; http://www.farrow-ball.com/borrowed-...product/100235
    2; http://www.farrow-ball.com/blue-grou...product/100210

You're gonna hate me, I like the Parma Gray with that blue. I would say if you haven't used farrow and ball before do get the tester pot and paint it on a sheet of paper. Move it around the room in different places. The colours can look so different in different areas of a room.
If you're set on the 2 you've said I'd go borrowed light

We're trying to make the chimney breast stand out a bit (we've stripped the AWFUL "PINK FLOWERY ON BLACK" back to bare wall) and trying to keep it cheap-ish as I'm saving for the deposit/bond on a new place)

It is expensive paint but I do love it. Good coverage, have managed to get away with one coat. Use a paint pad, with something covering the floor as the pads always pop off and land pad down on the floor. Sod's law
                Gonna look lovely x

                    Farrow & Ball.... very pretentious

I'd vote Parma Gray or a nice sunshine yellow

The B&Q basic white and magnolias decent and cheap, wilcos basic is rubbish, wickes basics ok but thin, but good for mixing, pound shop for rollers with splash gaurds and brushes, nice bottle of victory wine for compleating the job.

When I was a lad (no comments now) the suggested colour would have been sky blue pink with yellow spots
