What type of scanner have you got--I've got a Canon and the Toolbox gives a few options

Scan to a Program gives JPG which on mine not brilliant.

But Scan to FILE gives a perfect PDF file viewable in Acrobat & easily attached to your message

Hmmmm--don't know what options that scanner software has--but as I said--the best image will be a PDF document which is clear image of original.

Sorry-can't help further--do you know a friendly computer savvy friend to give you a hand with the scanning options?
