    Re: Nellies (enaids) Housemove lol

Pk I no what your saying and I love a bargain, but trust me it wouldn't work with us.
We would get the tiles and stuff and they would still be there when we were ready for moving to the Crem.
I am having vinyl in most rooms as it is a lot easier to look after, with our Tilly and the dog.
There are that many nice rugs about too and cheap you can alter the look of a room just by changing that.
So we went to a carpet shop we have used before, he is measuring up on Friday. If it's too dear well we will have to find another option, but it deffo wont be DIY. Thanks anyway Pk Enaid xx

well the day has arrived for the move, spent an hour on the phone to BT last night getting organised phone will be on 16th and Broadband with the hub phone will be on 20th so fingers crossed all goes well.

For a fiver a month I am getting one of those phone thingy's that you carry about with you and can go on line etc ( okay don't laugh I am not very technically minded) takes me all my time with my mobile and it is not fancy.

Mind you had a right laugh with the guy from BT he couldn't do his job for laughing.( I think he was laughing at me)

So wont be on after tonight until the 20th (fingers crossed) will let you know how it all went.

Just on very quickly setting up computers:cry:

Move went okay still loads of stuff to be moved from other house, but nothing we are desperate for as the guy with the van let me down and could only be here for a couple of hours so we moved all the important things first.

Settling in nicely phone and broadband now on and getting set up with the wireless be back later.

It's so good to be back have missed you all

well I can safely say I do not want to move again, still loads to do here and back at other house and very tired. But as it is not sold yet I have plenty of time.

                        Re: Nellies (enaids) Housemove lol

OK an update with a downside, if you get my drift.

I really can't believe how many things are going wrong with this house move. Unless it's not meant to be for some reason.

Yesterday I was very upset as I had ordered the BT anywhere package, I thought it offered everything for me and the lad and would be ideal, if not cheap. Anyway although they failed to inform me I had a credit check refused by Experian. This is the second one as they refused me an extra few quid on my mortgage the other week. I wasn't surprised at that one cause the lad is on the mortgage.
Anyway I have gone for a cheaper package as it was eventually explained to me that the anywhere package had a mobile phone with it and cause of that a credit check had to be done. For broadband you don't need one so I have gone for the next best package.
I am still upset over this as I have never had a knock back of this kind before and feel as though Experian are telling people I can't or won't pay what I owe. This is not true and I wish I could sue them for defamation of character, the cheeky buggers.

Before all this went on with BT though we had a bad start with the dog. We decided to take her to the flat for the first time. She isn't a brilliant traveller and rarely goes in the car. Anyway on the way we had a hold up and thought there had been an accident. It was police, loads of em stopping cars and doing Ins and tax checks. I shouted through the car window on passing one that had been stopped " if he ain't got none crush it".
Well OH told me off lol, don't know why he bothered, he knows I am in warped and twisted mode at the mo and I say first thing in my head, sometimes it's not right either.
Got dog to flat and she wouldn't go up the stairs, I carried on and she shrank back and her harness came off. Well it took a bit and I was determined I wasn't carrying her eventually she went up.She didn't like it at all, I just pray she will get used to it for both our sakes.

Next was the curtains, now they were measured exactly and should have fitted perfectly. I ironed them and put all the hooks on, Went to hang them OMG too short. Only a tad but OH will have to lower the rail, he's says it's not the end of the world, but every time something goes wrong it seems like that to me.

So while I am sorting stuff out and trying to keep the dog calm OH is carting stuff up from the car. The neighbours from the same landing get talking to him and tell him no way can you get wardrobes up the stairs in this block of flats. Apparently the stairwell is different than the other 4 blocks for some reason.
I am by this time in total stress and tear mode, I am telling him the move is off and all, he is telling me none of this can't be sorted, I am not convinced.

I forgot to say that I was over the moon to get a dish washer for the very first time. What did Oh do? cut the bloody plug off to get the wire through a hole, that made me cry as well, a bloody plug less dishwasher is not much use.

Going off the move as I am rapidly lol, the only upside up to yet is knowing my parents are over the moon we are going close to them.
I am going to Benidorm tomorrow only for 4 days, while the lad and OH move house. Before you say it's good timing on my part, yes I know and I was going to cancel. I am going though can't wait just to look after myself for a few days.
I have though to find one of my shoes that I was hoping to take, you need comfort in heat and drink. I think the dog has had it some where, she doesn't chew them but when she gets giddy she wanders about with one in her mouth.
The only place left to look is the garden, hey ho, never mind things can't get much worse.
I just hope they check that bloody plane thoroughly....................

Aww enaid hunni, I have to admit to having a little giggle while reading that!! reminded me of my last move .... everything that could go wrong did go wrong and even the smallest thing sent me up the wall in the end! discovering a gas leak in the lounge fire was probably the worse though! there we were with the van outside and couldn't even begin to unload until the gas man had been .... who then condemned the damn thing lol
All in all it was not an experience I'd care to repeat anytime soon!

If it makes you feel better though hun once it's all done and you begin to settle in it all seems worth it

Enjoy your holiday ...... pamper yourself...... you deserve it

 Enaid moving is not easy I did not post about my problems as I thought it might put you off. Fisrt of all central heating won't come on (oil) ordered some didn't come phoned the company I have to pay the first one on delivery (£315) Shower is crap ( over bath kind) house was very cold and damp ( old cottage style) couldn't get oven to work, front door won't lock from the outside so just use the back door. But I am still happier than I have been for a long time and all these problems can be sorted.

no wardrobes as all was fitted in old place, and don't talk about stairs had to take all the beds to bits before we could get them up them, I just left the boys to get on with getting them in the right place got there in the end.

Had to give my daughter my lovely comfy suite as it was too large for here, and got my brothers old one not comfy.

With regards to the dog I am sure she will settle in time, mine kept crying and following me everywhere for a few days even when I went to bed she sat and cried in my face, I suppose she wanted to go home to her garden. She is okay now.

You go and enjoy yourself you deserve it and relax, there is a solution to every problem and you will get there.

Oh Di, just think another day and you can throw loads of Run n Cokes down your neck and let the boys get on with it all.
There is nothing that can't be sorted out eventually, remember moving house is always stressfull even the simplest move can bring a grown up to tears hun.
Calm down, chill out and think on Benidorm is awaiting your arrival, shoe or no shoe pmsl.
