Re: FMB Fanclub
I was like you Fendy, there was heaps of us in the street playing.
What I have found is some of the older generation complain about kids playing outside,I found that when we moved to an area were there wasn't much kids in the street.Mine were out playing with water pistols on a really hot day, just soaking each other having fun,and the neighbours complained.
I have also said this to my Mum and Dad when there is kids in their street and they moan about it.At least you know where they are.
They seem to be closing or limiting the hours for all the sporting facilities, which is just not right......also found out they want to close a workshop for the Blind and disabled as they are not providing any more funding, they make and sell furniture and have been around for along time as far back as I can remember I think they employ about 35-38 people. Our local council are a joke.

Thats bums.............................. no fair at all. Although whatever happened to the chalk and hopscotch on the street. Or rounders on the street................... or climbing trees, or above ground tig................................ heck, we only had one youth club, but the other stuff kept me off booze, fags and drugs............................................. .....Just skipping over my hoop and ball kept me happy.................. theres always something to do if you think hard enough......................................... although closing ice rinks and swimming pools aint the answer either, thats grossly unfair.......................Fendy xxx

Re: FMB Fanclub
morning,
Yes snow here too, have the doctor shortly been up all night again.
Closing the shops won't solve the problem, they will still get hold of drink,or they will turn to something else which is equally worrying.
The councils way of saving money here is to close the ice rink and the swimming pools,so they will have more kids roaming the streets with nothing to do.

Re: FMB Fanclub
Morning,
Well shoot me with a feather, we have more snow. You just get to thinking spring is on the way and we go backwards.
Just been reading about the shops that are caught selling alcohol to underage drinkers more than once will be closed. Well it made me titter, cause I bet there are less shops closed over this, than there are shops closing through bankruptcy. Lets hope i am proved wrong.
Fact is, the little sods get the oldest and probably legal member of the gang to go in for the drinks. Outcome shopkeeper still taking money, kids still taking the ****.
This may come as a shock to Mr Brown, as he may not have an offy on his corner, so don't go telling him will you

Morning all its lovely here, bright sunshine and blue skies. Its not that cold either at the moment.
Hope you all had a good weekend, ours wasn't that bad really, I'm getting used to having a space in the front of my teeth now and can talk without lisping all the time. Boy am I glad I've actually done it now. Anyway its off to the dentist on the 10th for impressions and a week later I get my new tooth, dunno how its going to be done, she seems to think a small plate is in order but I've been thinking and might ask if I can have a bridge done right accross. Wonder if she's agree to it ?
Anyway hope you are all fine and dandy.

Hi SL,
We have snow it's just started, waited till i got the washing out of course.
Well i think that's good she is leaving the decision up to him about needing help. If he is willing to go then it shows he is alright about it in the first place. Hope all works well for him either way. Enaid xx

Sapphire, just keep telling yourself, no more pain,I hate the dentist too but once I have been think well that wasn't so bad but then just feel the same next time I have to go
You still yearning for a wee doggie,I was the opposite to you I didn't want any more, but Hubby and kids all voted against me,don't get me wrong I love animals but hurts so much when something happens to them and didn't want to go through that again. But now we have her I would not part with her and she is definaltly (Okay that's the third time I have tried to spell that and it's still wrong) my dog.

Morning all, well I didn't feel the earth move here so no worries on that front.
I now have an ulcer on my gum at the rear of my mouth, so I can't bite using the front because the tooth is loose, and can't eat on the right hand back part of my mouth. This is now starting to seriously pi$$ me off. I never thought i'd ever say this but I can't wait to see that dentist tomorrow. Although I am scared witless but hey its got to be better than having pain etc and I'm telling myself that I shall have a lovely even smile after its all done.
Nothing much to report here at the moment today.
Great news Di that your heart is ok, and yes its true walking is very good for you, so is swimming.
Hmmmmmm wonder if I can convince himself that a Dawgie would be a good way of making me feel better after all the pain i'm going through pmsl. On a scale of 1-10 I reckon I have no chance at the moment.

Enaid I could have built a house in the time it has taken for the repairs to be done.
Good advice with regards the doggies he has been here a couple of times and just wanted to attack my girl (just playing he's a rascal) she got fed up of him biting her and knocked him flying. She did put up with a lot before she sorted him out tho. Don't have a car I can get her in at the moment.

Wouldn't it be easier love to move down here

Oh and if your trying to get the doggies to be friends take the big one to the little ones home and not the other way about till they make friends, or on neutral ground. That's the advice I got with my naughty girl

Re: FMB Fanclub
Good morning,
Hope none of you have suffered any damage due to the earthquake last night, there was a story on GMTV this morning some poor bloke got thrown out of his house and went and slept in his car,a chimney fell on his car and the first he knew about it was when his neighbours woke him
Just waiting for the contractor who put my house back together, had nothing but problems, this is the fourth time they have had to come back to this, the coving is coming away from the roof. The roofs have had to be done about 3 times and the wallpaper is coming away from the walls lets see what excuse they have this time.
They had to replace the doors they put on as the joiner had cut them too small and just put patches in and thought it would be okay,it stood out like a sore thumb.
