  • Should she go down?

Supermodel Naomi Campbell has been released on police bail pending further inquiries after she was arrested and hauled off a plane at Heathrow airport. The 37-year-old, known for her fiery temper, was questioned on suspicion of assaulting a police officer after one of her bags went missing at stricken Terminal 5.
According to reports she was handcuffed on board a British Airways jet bound for the US.
Passengers watched as officers got onto the plane to arrest her after what witnesses said involved a dispute over luggage.
They said the model, who was discovered by an agency in Covent Garden, central London, at the age of 15, was aggressive and abusive to staff and police.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "At 17.11 we were alerted to a disturbance at Terminal 5 where officers attended.
"Subsequently a 37-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer and taken to Heathrow police station."
The model's spokeswoman, Annabel Fox, said: "Naomi was flying to Los Angeles for a memorial service on Thursday, April 3.
"She arrived at Heathrow Terminal 5 in plenty of time, checked her two bags in and was told they would make the flight.
"Once on the plane she was told one bag could not be found and was missing.
"BA decided to resolve this by insisting she leave the flight and then called the police to forcibly eject her from the flight.
"She was taken to the Heathrow police station and released on police bail.
"So far as we are aware BA have still failed to offer any explanation as to why her bag went missing at Terminal 5."
Campbell left Heathrow shortly after midnight.

IMO yes, it's not the first time she has done wrong and more or less got away with it. All because of who she is and not what she did. I think it's high time these so called celebs and super stars got some proper punishment. Maybe then the kids and grown ups that see them as role models will understand a little bit more about right and wrong.

According to reports over 15,000 bags were "lost" and many people have still not been reunited with their luggage - what makes her bag so special, or even her for that matter?

I hope she enjoyed her night under lock and key, which for her is not an irregular occurrence.

She should think herself lucky that she actually got a FLIGHT into T5,
I think getting your luggage on time is a bonus nowadays.

I have to agree with you, she should be punished.

It just means more publicity for her tho

                Re: Should she go down?

Yes she should go down for it, she'e done this before and it's about time her ego got a kick in the ass.

So her bag disappeared, well whooopeee do! I am sure she has plenty of clothes at home and it's not like she is short of a bob or two to keep her going till they find it. But what about all the people that had to go on holiday with nothing? No doubt stuff that that they had saved up for etc, they are not in a position to replace stuff as easilly.

                  Re: Should she go down?

I think she should be treated in exactly the same way as any other person whos done the same things. Which is probably what happened tbh. She shouldnt be penalised or made an example of nor let off or given preferential treatment cause of who she is.

Re the bags, whether she can afford to replace stuff is irrelevant IMO. BA shouldn't have lost them. Not that that excuses her behaviour, but if a 'normal' person had kicked off about the same thing I would hope they would have been treated in the same way by the authorities.

                              Re: Should she go down?

I have no brief for the likes of Ms Campbell or any other of these ‘celebs’ but I have to say I'm sorry about some of the comments regarding Campbell which I think are appalling & somewhat petty here on what is a self help site. Also when they include remarks like "she isn't very good looking anyway" it's obvious that some are motivated by jealousy

Yes the woman has a wicked temper which she should learn to control, - yes she earns a lot of money & yes she is very privileged in many ways but that's no reason to denigrate her

Just because people earn large sums of money why does that mean that they shouldn't get peed of when the airline loses their bag, I would very much as did She & I don't earn very much money at all

Also why is it assumed that there was nothing of great value in her baggage & why should it be the case that even if there was that just because she can afford to lose her property she shouldn’t get angry or upset?

Why just because some people are rich & famous should they be considered by some as having fewer rights than the rest us?

How do we know that she did commit assault? just because the Police say so?
No because she has done it before she’s an easy target for such claims & I for one would prefer to wait & hear the evidence from other bystanders before jumping to the conclusions that She’s done it again.

Also it should be noted that merely pulling yourself forcefully from the grip of police officer can be construed as assaulting that officer or even as resisting arrest
