Re: credit agreement with insurance providers

    just recieved

    Good evening,

    Thank you for your email.

Please find attached a copy of your motor welcome letter, which was issued to you on the 05/06/2015 at 14:50 to the email address that you had provided to us.
In the email attached is all the policy information as well as your cover note.

The 14 day cooling off period is effective from when you receive these documents. As the documents were emailed to you on this date, this is when your 14 days are effective from.
You requested cancellation on 29/06/2015, you were therefore 9 days out of the 14 day cooling off period, so full cancellation fees apply.

You also stated that you are ‘’yet to receive any documents ‘’. However, you had signed & returned the proposal form, credit agreement & certificate surrender form, which were all enclosed within the motor welcome letter on the 22/06/2015.

As previously advised, the full cancellation fees apply. The cancellation debt is £196.76. we do not expect you to make this payment all at once. We can offer to set up a payment plan.
You will need to call the office to discuss this.

    I had no attachments.

My credit agreement came via post and I signed and photographed this on my iphone and sent it back, no policy documents came with this.

date was 16.7.2015, even if they did send me docs after i, I would have been within my 14 days at that time.

Re: credit agreement with insurance providers

I wonder what they meant by "not fully covered"?

They require you to prove they have received documents you have sent (was told it was my responsibility to prove they had received all docs,)
but they seem to assume that their declaration of sending documents is proof of delivery.
        What's sauce for the goose,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Why would they be trying to check with DVLA for proof of no accidents? The driver register holds each driver’s name, address, date of birth, photograph, entitlement, endorsements, convictions and relevant medical information that may affect a person’s ability to drive. It doesn't hold a record of accidents .
The Claims and Underwriting Exchange manages a central record of claims/accident notifications for insurers.

One good point: I can't find any record of them doing court, altho' the web is awash with complaints.(but that might only mean peep give in!)
From now on I would insist that all communication is in hard copy writing (no phone calls or emails as they obviously go astray!)

Re: credit agreement with insurance providers

ive emailled back and said even if i DID get hard copy documents, which i didnt, the date is clearly showing as 16.6.2015, and I cancelled as per their documents as 29.6.2015 which is in the 14 day cool off period, i am not due the charges.

Re: credit agreement with insurance providers

            Another discrepancy:
"This (c/n) was emailed to the email address that you provided us with () on the 05/06/2015 at 14:29."
"which was issued to you on the 05/06/2015 at 14:50"

Any chance you can post up copies of "all the policy information" they claim was attached to their welcome letter.

Just googled it and there are lots of ways of opening, but seems you need to download some software, and there's no way I'm recommending what I don't understand!

                          Well done bruv1

Are those icons at the bottom the policy documents?
In that form they can hardly be said to have sent them.

Perhaps they are telling the truth and don't actually ever send any documentation
