Am sorry you feel that way, thing is some of us would just love a little decent entertainment over the festive period. We are not all able to go out on the town as it were and are for one reason or another tv is our main entertainment media.
Take this evening New Years Eve prime time on ITV Rita & Me 50 yrs of Barbara Knox a real family entertainment draw lol.
Up until the soaps everything is a repeat and further more what's on later will be repeated again tomorrow or again is a repeat.
If that's not an insult then am seriously thinking there is a lot more wrong me than I originally thought xx

No only fools and horses repeats this year and I'd have watched them although there have been a few Dave Allen programs on BBC2 which I will have to catch up with

New Year’s Day, really stormy so confined to barracks and what choice have we on TV- Mary f’n Poppins and those irritating von Trapps, again! Ben Hur has more or less taken over a full day on one channel so you can amuse yourself watching Charlton Heston doing a fine imitation of a plastic statue having a stroke. All your family and so called friends have probably drunk every decent drop of booze by now so you have to resort to playing board games stone cold sober or drink that strange bottle of syrupy stuff that granny brought back when she went on a pilgrimage 7 years ago.

Do you mean, am I missing those sweet smelling, beautiful tasting vitality sticks? That tingling on my tongue as I breathe in the pungent tobacco. The kick as the nicotine is swept along the blood stream, that melodic wheeze as I breathe out the vapour. The joy of not being able to taste my own cooking. The pleasure of being unable to pick up that whiff from the lavvy after my OH has had a long visit?
Am I missing that? Hell Yea!!!!!

Interesting fact for you about Ben Hur. It was a remake of the 1927 film of the same name(Charlton Heston did not star in that).
