      Re: Christmas TV

Yeah and we all pay for a TV license, where the BBC recently reported saving 1 billion yet further cuts to programing to be made! Why can't that 1 billion be invested in more original programing instead of having repeats!

              Re: Christmas TV

You know what, i might just connect the TV via HDMI cable to the PC and stream movies and tv shows, instead of paying a TV license - Not Ariel connected to TV no license fee!

We enjoyed Dr Who, Pirates and The Boy in a Dress. Oh and Mrs Browns Boys. Most other things seem to have been a bit miserable.

                Jules just watched Zulu.

                Apparently...
                Christmas Day top 10

The Queen (BBC One and ITV) – 7.82 million

Mrs Brown’s Boys Christmas Special (BBC One) – 7.61 million viewers

EastEnders (BBC One) – 7.55 million

Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special (BBC One) – 6.98 million

Call The Midwife (BBC One) – 6.83 million

Miranda (BBC One) – 6.67 million

Coronation Street (ITV) – 6.41 million

Doctor Who (BBC One) – 6.34 million

                Emmerdale (ITV) – 5.53 million

Downton Abbey (ITV) – 5.52 million

If you use the BBC iPlayer to watch TV programmes at the same time as they are being shown on TV (live) then you will need to be covered by a valid TV Licence

I doubt Kati watches it at the same time it is on TV. One of my friends does the same. I'd agree completely and add to the list: "still open all hours" which started the first run of 6 episodes on Boxing day.
For me, my evenings have been taken up with American Football as the colleges have major games on.....the joys of watching via a cough cough link....

I have "The Interview" to watch at some point over the coming days

Not suggesting ANYONE would watch on PC whilst being broadcast "live"................... just a general warning

We wound up watching Zulu – CLASS. The great escape was not on though. You cannot help hoping that this year he will get that motorbike over the fence – with the same frame of mind my OH also watches the sound of music hoping the Nazis will find those irritating Von Trapps!

Watching things on 'catch-up' is (for the time being at least) free ... although I think if the bbc started charging by the programme for those like myself (who don't want or need a television) I'm sure my boys would still want to wait to see the odd programme they like (so far it's been doctor who, merlin, walking with dinosaurs and some series about dinosaurs coming through a portal?). DVDs are coming out faster these days, so the wait's not too long. Or they can always go to a friends house or my mum's
