Re: School days..what are your memories?

The absolute worst thing that happened was in Junior School...we were introduced to our new trainee teacher.........my brother !!!!
He was sent to our school on a 6 weeks placement and I swear it was the worst 6 weeks of my life..I had no choice but to behave or the Ayatollah (Mum) got told..I went home on the first day going absolutely garrity to find both my parents with smirks on their faces.....

Re: School days..what are your memories?

On my last day of school (aged 15) I went in and we were all in our civvies so we felt cool.

I had be bullied, belittled and treated like crap... and that was just the teachers, so I decided vengance would be mine. Me and my 2 besties, Nellie and Angel, walked in to our math class and stole the teachers board marker, and wrote If A=45 and B x 3 = 3 how much is a pound of sausages at Waitrose?

If John has 4 sweets and Barbara has 11 sweets how many times do they fire the guns on the Ark Royal?

we then went in to English and rearranged the books in our own particular order, boring to not as boring to something we would actually read, we put up a sign on the door reading CAR BOOT SALE EVERYTHING 50p, put all the chairs on the desks and screamed at everyone that we had just spent an hour mopping the floor!

We then headed for Science and announced, Sod this for a game of soldiers, we are having a picnic, and went and sat on the grass bank and had a ciggie!

At home time, we all headed out to freedom and I put my walkman on as loud as I could and blasted out George Micheals Freedom, I then met up with my Irishman and got on the back of his back, rode off in to the sunset (well North London anyway), holding up a sign with TTFN LOSERS on it

      Never pee off the Puff

Re: School days..what are your memories?

I rather liked my first chemistry master.

I did not like his replacement, partly because of his permanent sneer but mainly because the oaf once expressed the opinion - in front of the whole chemistry class - that I was "a cross between a cretin and a lemming" and that I did not even have the sense to commit suicide!

With the benefit of hindsight, I now realise that I should have immediately walked out, walked home and written a letter to the headmaster - but I did not.

When he accused me of trying to kill him - he'd done something damn silly and tried to make out that it was my fault he'd got an electric shock - I meekly replied that I had not. Then the idiot asked me how I could be certain, to which I retorted "Were I to try, sir, I am confident that I would succeed."

I had my own, quiet and slow-burning revenge on him. When I left, I gave a silver-plated cup to the school Photographic Society, engraved with "For the best photograph of the year". It didn't cost too much, as I'd bought it from a local jewellers that was closing down, and I was certain that as he was the master in charge of the Photographic Society, he'd be reminded of me every time he presented it.

My (late) mother was a teacher at a local private school, to which that boor later sent his own child. At the end of her chat with the child's parents, my mother conversationally asked the jerk if he thought that she was the cretin or the lemming. He flushed, blustered and tried to claim that I'd made that up, but my mother replied that I did not tell lies and that I would have no reason to make up such a story. Then she wished him a good evening.

I still want to piddle on that turd's grave.

another good memory.. i was an AWFUL student and hated school, me and all my mad friends got told about the fact Take That were being interviewed at Capital Radio, so 8 of us bunked off and headed to the studios. We all at down outside, reading magazines, having sneaky smokes and drinking coke, and my mum came round the corner, game me this look , went inside the radio station and did her job, came back out and said "Lemme guess, double math and double science yeh?"
I nodded and waited for the clump, and got told "I never saw you, I had no idea you were here and here is a fiver, get yourself McDonalds.. and BE CAREFUL!"

Yes, my mum is that cool

My son was a good brat for going to school (reckoned it was more fun that being stuck at home with me,,can't think why?:rofl
Brat goes to college.......doing really well until one hot, sunny Friday when Tam (teacher) rings me and asks how Jack is? I reply 'Fine, and at college ?' 'No' says Tam.....for some reason 75% of my students are all down with a stomach bug and the same 'parent' has rung in sick for all of them' (the dimwits forgot that the 'absence'phone line recorded the calls!)
So.......when Jack and a group of his goons landed at my house after 'college' looking VERY much like they'd spent the day down the coast they all were less than amused to be handed assignments that had to be completed and handed in by Monday !! I'm a witch when he fibs to me :witchy:

Re: School days..what are your memories?

Bullied every day, every week for 5 years.

If I was ever asked to a school reunion, I'd take a hit man with me.....fortunately Ive had neither the time nor the inclination to ever attend such an event.

Still, on the positive side, it's left me with a lifelong distaste for bullies of all kinds....so maybe the Saras, Selina's and Eleanors who made my life hell....did me a favour!?
"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )

Cel,,I would have been a prime target for bullies there,,didn't come from the 'affluent' area of town ,shortarse, glasses.you name it I had it........but I also had a sister only 16 months older than me who is was and always be a thug lol.....she bullied noone BUT if anyone was being bullied she stepped in and her reputation preceded me.
She was once mucking about shadow boxing with my Dad,,and planted one his chin that knocked him bandy lol
And yes..maybe in a peverse way, your bullies made you the woman you are today...bet they didn;t end up as well.

I was determined to "show" the bullies and in a knd of way I did!
Including our Math teacher who threw a blackboard duster at me ( still rubbish at math)!
A lot of years later I cared for him when he had a heat attack (and yes I did) he actually looked for me on discharge said "thank you"!
