    It's yet more feminazi nonsense.

What gives them the right to decide if immature idiots should be allowed to read puerile nonsense?

How would their "sistahs" like it if restrictions were imposed on make-up, shoes, tattoos or vajazzles?

      Re: Ban "Lads Mags"?

This argument has been going on for decades. Personally I agree with the basic argument that any such "literature" (whether for men or women) is objectification and promotes unhealthy social attitudes. And I also agree that I shouldn't have to be "eye to eye" with it when I go to the shop or the supermarket. I just have bigger priorities and better things to do with my time than to spend time on such a campaign because it does nothing to promote true equality and there are far greater injustices going on. Taking the magazines off the shelves won't stop men buying them, or change attitudes which underpin fundamental inequalities in society; nor will it save the life of a single woman beaten to death by a violent partner, put equal pay in the pockets of women, or put any cracks in the glass ceilings....

Although this does remind me of a funny story. One of my closest friends is a Muslim - I have known her since her eldest, a boy, was a toddler, and he's now a fine strapping young man of 22 years. When he was 15 or so, there was a problem with her family computer, something small, and when I was sorting it out for her I happened across the browser history and she saw the contents before I could stop her! I think you can guess??? Hmm yes, some very undressed women... She was mortified, and all ready to go and drag her son in by the hair and never let him out again, and I was trying to calmly point out that this was not exactly abnormal behaviour in a 15 year old boy and especially not one from a "sheltered" background. She was having none of this. I tried every rational argument in the book and nothing was pacifying her. In the end I got to, "Well look Sozena, this is really excellent news. Seriously, you should be pleased... being a Muslim and all it's great for you. At least you know he's not gay"!!!!

And before anyone says a thing - I told all my gay friends the story and they creased up laughing. We can't change the entire world overnight and I am not expecting that my friend is going to see a son being gay as good news anytime soon.

For all you know, he might have been desperately trying to cure himself of homosexualism.

            I wouldn't know - I never read such rubbish.

The last "lifestyle" magazine I read was one copy of Marie Claire - and only then because something I'd made was featured in it.

If you've never read one,,how can you dismiss them as rubbish???

And what had you made that was featured in Marie Claire?

Well, it might give other people nightmares... or quite the wrong ideas.

Getting her knockers out and everything else she has done has made her a millionairess. Personally I have no time for her and her silly antics but you gotta admit...she's made it work for her financially.

Good points - are the girls who flash their thruppenies* 'liberated', or traitors to the female gender?
