Some pictures of Brighton (I hardly took any and have a cold)

We had a lovely time, not enough time really to do any ''sightseeing'' but a good evening with very good company.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the evening a success.

After a lastminute.com opportunity, I dashed down to the hotel venue & found a civilised crowd having a rational discussion about the problems facing society nowadays.

Quickly realising I was at the wrong meet, I made my excuses, etc &, guided by the raucous revelries & general mayhem, I plucked up enough courage to enter the 'LB' room.

Deftly ducking the flying plates of jellied eels (Saffy?) & flying waiters (Inca??), I entered into the lions' den.
A glass or two of pre-prandial cocktails ('White Lightening' & methylated spirits - & a cherry -interesting!) soon had me in the swing of it, though.

Seriously though, it was a brilliant evening.
Good food, good conversation, & most importantly, lovely people.

Thank you all for a memorable evening, & it's so nice to meet up in person.

Fri afternoon.....we meet enaid at train station,,,all went rather smoothly except we passed the same ambulance 3 times on way there cos Incas directions are,to be honest,crap :rofl:
Anyways...we get her (after she asked a random bloke in London if the train she was boarding went to Brighto and he said he hoped so as he was the DRIVER)
Get to hotel.....drop stuff off....went to bar and I kid you not,folks,,,she made me laugh until my ribs hurt for 2 solid hours.......the woman is hysterically funny,,,,she got overcharged at the bar,soon sorted that out..
We went up to our rooms and went to say G'night to her..no answer,,,find out at breakfast on Saturday she had conked out asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow.................
I'll leave Saturday until her memory returns.........................msl:

It was a pleasure to finally meet, :yo: I think I've "known" you virtually, longer than all the other Beagles who attended. :beagle2222: And you were first at the scene too, followed by a parrot that flew in, then flew back out again before plucking up the courage to ask if you were a fellow Beagle. :doggieyes:

Ahhh what a lovely evening! I've just got home after a fantastic LB party. Yup, it's 2am and as far as I know its still going on down in Brighton!

I think that's when everyone went to bed after having had a few in the bar.

Thank you to everyone who made it. the food was lovely, the speech was short (but much interrupted) :tung:

I'm so glad it was a good night. Who was 'The Speaker' this year ? I'm so sorry that I wasn't there to heckle, but it seems (as may now be tradition) that the poor 'Speaker' got their just desserts in good ole 'LB' style from the other true 'forum stalwarts,' bless 'em !!!

See above... don't forget to buy The Sun everyday this week...

I have just returned home from hospital op all done and dusted, I did not get back to my room last night until just before midnight. The bones have now all have been plated and screwed back in place as they were fractured in many pieces and the good news is that bandages come off in 2 weeks time. Whilst you were all having a great time I was in surgery with massive doses of morphine.

Awwww, hope you're feeling better today. I could do with some morphine... :lol:
