I'm a Londoner so I know that trains to/from Brighton run through the night and it's only 47 minutes to Victoria Don't ask me how I know that because it's a long story :bolt:
Things must have improved over the last few years, it used to be an hour! Goes to show how long it's been since I last went to Brighton! :clock: :clock: :clock: Won't mention when I first went there, because you'll all find out how old I really am!

My GP,Sally,is the kindest, sweetest Dr I have ever had the priviledge of knowing. She is a first class physician,,she is patient, caring and a bloody good laugh too.
We happen to share the same birthday (albeit she's 2 years younger),,and every year, without fail I get something sarcastic in the post from her.
For my 50th last year I got a bunch of 'Sexual Health' leaflets!!!!!!!

My local hospital is the largest general and teaching hospital in Europe. So, as you can imagine, we have some of the top people, here, in the South West. There is a very good Oncology Department, but I cannot say for definite whether they would be able to help with the type of cancer you have, Tuttsi.

I have to agree that the NHS is amazing. I have so many medical professionals that are responsible for my care, both locally and London and they are all my saviours. My GP, local consultant and specialist nurse are walking angels and I'd be lost without them. I feel so incredibly lucky and blessed to have such an amazing care for free.

If you do need a wheelchair while we're down there I challenge you to a race...if not,,I can always give you a 'backsy' round if the going gets tough
Ironically, Inca, apart from when I was in the police, I've worked with elderly and disabled people, both professionally and voluntarily, over a 35-year period. So you can imagine what I'm like when people mention wheelchairs. At the moment, I have to use a motorised wheelchair to access Plymouth City Centre, which is my nearest main shopping centre, but, with twice-weekly hydrotherapy, that should improve and, eventually, mean I can walk normally again.

I have a lot to thank the NHS for and after writing a letter of appreciation to South Western Ambulance Service for their care in November last year, I had a lovely letter from their Chief Officer in response. The NHS has its faults, but the majority of those who work within in it do a brilliant job and are very caring. Long may that continue to be so.
