Re: Ding Dong the Witch is Dead
Let it not be forgotten that it was Thatcher who let the banks off the leash.
Old sins cast long shadows.

Re: Ding Dong the Witch is Dead
Celebrating or making fun of someones death is not really on is it, whoever it is.
To me the worst kind of hypocrite is the one who gets on their high horse about sexism, racism etc. and doesn't know the meaning of common decency.
She had family and friends who cared for her.
No more on this from me.

From the BBC.
Whether you loved or hated her I do not believe the comments made are very nice. Please try and have some respect for her grieving family.

Not anyone on this site I hope.Originally posted by CleverClogs View PostSo, who is organising the coach trips of people wanting to piddle on her grave?
I'm not exactly a fan of hers but some of the comments on this thread are simply distastful.
If you want to demonstrate that your ideals are somehow more worthy than hers then suggesting someone organisises a coach party to ''piddle on her grave'' isn't, in my view, the best way of achieving it.

If he does, let's hope the Special Services direct him to a small remote island with no transport off it this time!Originally posted by Sapphire View Post
Totally agree about him, there's people on Facebook laying odds on him getting lost on the way to the funeral.

Now thats a conspiracy theory if ever I've heard one lol.
Sorry, but on this one I will be out of step again - the woman was a hard-faced b**ch who set the tone for this current governments policies and callousness. Having seen what she did to people, Hell would be too good for her. I wished a sad and painful life on her in the 1980's and I'd be a hypocrite if I changed my mind because she got it. And as for her loved ones,
I respect your opinion and are entitled to have it, I've never said that I liked her, but I did admire her and her pure determination to get things done whether right or wrong, she did it and stood up for what she believed to be right.
Mark Thatcher is hardly an angel - loan shark, tax evader and criminal who is banned from living in the United States. He obviously took after his mother.

As I think I have said to you before, somethings are just not funny.Originally posted by CleverClogs View PostSo did Stalin.
Correct - her illness was not nearly painful enough.
They should have done the right-thinking, Tory thing and privatised her care in a series of abusive "care" homes.

She would.Originally posted by dogtired View PostI agree, she is now at peace, we may not have agreed with her but I for one kind of admired her. And I don]t think she would have stood for the utter callousness of the present lot.
Remember, she appointed the first Chingford Strangler (Tebbitt) to her Cabinet.

Correct - her illness was not nearly painful enough.I doubt even the ones that loathed her would wish the horrible illness she suffered for many years on her,
They should have done the right-thinking, Tory thing and privatised her care in a series of abusive "care" homes.if not for her personally but her family and loved ones at least.
