Not at all, it is not a question of any thing good or bad about her, this is about whether it is right, or in good taste to celebrate someones death with no deference to the feelings of others.

Is it is good taste to celebrate a death with no deference to the feelings of others? I don't know. I am not organising a £10 million funeral at the expense of others to celebrate her death. Perhaps you should ask those who are?

Funerals honour the dead. That may include celebrating the life of the deceased but not the death of them.

BBC are prats and going OTT in terms of the musical nonsense. Thank God for commercial radio's countdown that hopefully will not have the nonsense that the BBC have.

Do you mean i should be asking if it is right to celebrate someones death or are you asking is it right to spend £10m on a funeral.

              If so, no and sometimes.

Did the Kurds in Iraq celebrate the death of Saddam Hussein?

Did the Libyans celebrate the death of Colonel Gadaffi?

Did the US celebrate the assassination of Osama Bin Laden?

If I was a relative of those that had been killed by any three of the above I might be tempted to celebrate their death rather than celebrate their joyous life and each of them may have had a hand in changing the life of the country.

Silly argument, we are talking about three time elected head of state not a mass murderer. .

And on that argument, I also saw the devotees of Osama, celebrating the deaths caused by his atrocities, would you like to identify yourself with them also.

Again depending on the context then there is always a possibility. If my family had been bombed by US planes then perhaps I might rejoice in the deaths of US Service personnel.

How do you know that I am not Argentinian or have Argentinian friends/relations who may have been on The Belgrano?

Had one ever bothered to read the lyrics? (link)

How does one suppose that "As Mayor of the Munchkin City, In the County of the Land of Oz..." might have any connection to the UK?

Or is one admitting that one is a "Munchkin"? msl:

That is the point of it all. The song "ding dong the witch is dead" is a song that last just under a minute long and whilst it is credited to Judy Garland, she does not actually sing on the clip that would have been played on the radio. Many people may well be under the impression that the Glee version is the one that was in the Wizard of Oz, it was not
