    and all good wishes for the New Year

    Just want to wish you all a great Christmas and a wonderful New Year.
    Many thanks to everyone here, especially Cet and Ame who have both allowed me to sound off at various times - thank you does not seem enough!

    I love this site and the lovely caring people here.

    Words seem so trite, I hope you know what I'm trying to say.

      "Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry).
