That doesn't surprise me at all Tuttsi !!! I reckon you'll make a speedier recovery than they have forecast now, as well, and I confidently wish you one.

Is the attached spreadsheet any use with organising your meds, Tuttsi ?

Bill---you really should get out more--a spreadsheet ffs

Our chemist takes the medecines programme & then supplies me with all the medicines in a weekly folder where I break the seal for "morning/lunch/teatime/bedtime"--& the tablets are all predispensed

Re: Get Well Soon Tuttsi x

I see chicken soup is on the tab bar - what a marvelous idea thanks Bill with all my heart, I never thought of that one.

It is a nightmare coming out of hospital with a bag full of boxes of meds and not knowing what they are for. So today the ones I was not familiar with I have read the patient information sheets. One of them was to prevent fungal infections especially after stem cell transplants, some were self explanatory. Some of my usual meds are different manufacturers so I do not recognise them and that makes it difficult and some tablets look exactly the same which confused me last night. I really had to scrutinise them to make sure that they were in fact different tablets.

I am though extremely tired and the least bit of walking even from room to room is exhausting. I did though manage to make a delicous Watercress and vegetable soup this evening and have enough for another 3 days or more so might freeze a portion. Sunday my o/h will go and pick up the boiling chicken and I will make my famous chicken soup that should also aid my recovery.I find now even talking on the phone exhausting and all the family and friends are constantly phoning so I am not getting a lot of rest.

I suspect Turbs that they would do that here at the pharmacy from a prescription from the GP but these drugs were sent home with me from the hospital. Since my drugs may be changing as we go along I dare not have it done this way as I certainly would not recognise which drug is what to enable me to eliminate if the case was needed. But a great point for the future once I am off the extra medications.

              xx

LOL - I'm glad you spotted the 'Jewish Penicillin,' Tuttsi !!! In all fairness to the geezer, I guess Turbo is right - your next 'issue' of the prescription may well be in a properly organised and scheduled 'party bag.'

I guess I should count my blessings for being so ignorant of these matters - as Turbo has kindly reminded me in a round-about way !!! Here's me taking a daily Vit C and a Cod-Liver oil capsule - but I've just started taking some Sudafed for a blocked sinus. I should rejoice in the fact that is all I have to complain about !!!

Well done Bill re the Chicken Soup tab--hadn't spotted it--clever bugga!!--lol

see here the system our chemist uses to create our folders so we don't have to "de-blister"--(they get a fee from NHS for the service)

                    http://www.mts-mt.co.uk/domiciliary.htm

However--I have to "de-blister" my Warfarin as they won't include it as the dosage changes depending on whether my INR after a blood test is outside 2-3 range

That may be one explanation, but mine is the Jewish Penacilan.....which I will make either tomorrow or Tuesday to my fathers recipe which always turned out great and is a beatiful soup with all the trimmings. It is well known that this soup is the best in the world for making people better.
