Thank you so much. I have just come in from a meeting and found this .... it was lovely.

Yes, thirteen - a teenager!!! lol

A friend of mine died on Saturday. An epiletic fit in his sleep.
It was his daughter's birthday, they were all wondering why he hadn't come and thought he was off his head somewhere.
After six years clean time, he relapsed (four years ago) and could not get more than a few months clean again.
He had a very successful job, got married, had a child. He was wonderful, funny company. An amazingly sweet man, but he let his recovery slide.
It has been a sad week and a time of reflection for me.
I easily could have been found dead in a bedsit too.

Remembering what it was like going to the treatment centre ........ being in there (I hated it! lol)

Anyway, my life is fantastic. Ups and downs - same as everyone - but generally I love my life.

Thank you all for being here. It means a lot.
At times I don't know where I would have been without my online friends, I really don't.

I've just stumbled across this thread and I have to add my congratulations and best wishes to you for having turned your life around and kept on track for so long. I can't imagine what it must have been like for you as I never got into drugs and don't have any other addictions which can be devastating if left unchecked, so all I can say to you is....................
