Personally I'd love to see some old biddy arrive with a dog end, hair in rollers and a rolling pin, the stereotypical old east end Nan, and drop the dog end in the cauldron!

On a sane point, id love to see Zara Phillips ride past and drop the torch in Lord Of The Rings Styleee!

Sir Roger Bannister has taken in huge bets and on one site the betting has been halted.


My gut feeling is that David Beckham will enter the stadium with the Olympic flame but will pass it to Sir Roger Bannister to light the Cauldron in the stadium....
