Re: Citizins test.
One might wonder if the questions had been set by the BNP. For example, why should someone native to the UK know where a person from B:censored:land or another non-EU national should apply for a UK work permit?
Then there are the answers than seem to be wrong.
9 How many bank holidays are there per year in the UK?- 2

- 6
- 8
See link
Scotland have the additional bank holidays of January 2 and of St Andrew's Day, when many of its male inhabitants may be too inebriated to work, whilst Ulster celebrates St Patrick's Day and the anniversary of the Battle of the Boyne (1690) with two additional bank holidays for much the same reason.
This link even has a nice chart.

Re: Citizins test.
Rejected"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )

Wouldn't questions more directly related to citizenship and to simple courtesy be more important? For example, they could ask when one should give up one's seat on a public omnibus, what is the current price of the Manchester Guardian to the nearest groat (72 groats) or how a game of cricket is played.
