To be honest, and you may not like this, he is on crutches after a road accident on his motorbike, so he can work and the article does not say whether he was on sick leave from work or not. The use of the term scrounger or benefit scrounger is not necessarily one that the conservatives have uniquely owned. The Sun has continually highlighted Mr and Mrs Benefit who are unemployed and earning more money that you or I working. The blame if blame is said lies solely with the driver and their appalling manners or maybe we should be blaming the media itself for creating the image of the benefit scrounger.

Maybes, but my point is that the consequences of the bus conductor's attitude speak for themselves, she got sacked. And IMO deserved to be but that's irrelevant of course. Do bad ****, get bad **** back in return. Genuine scroungers likewise. But to assume someone is a scrounger because he happens to be male, aged under 60, not at work on a working day, sitting on a bus whatever, is outrageous.

She hasn't been sacked since the article says she has been suspended but I agree with you, her attitude is absolutely appalling.
