Its something we have set.

Under 5 posts - no images in signature at all (stops spammers adding crap/porn in their signatures)
Over 5 posts - can have static images in sigs
VIP/Team - can have animated images in sigs (just checked that and I remembered wrong before its smileys AND animated pics)

Its something we have set.

Under 5 posts - no images in signature at all (stops spammers adding crap/porn in their signatures)
Over 5 posts - can have static images in sigs
VIP/Team - can have animated images in sigs (just checked that and I remembered wrong before its smileys AND animated pics)

VIPs can also have friend lists, customized profiles, chatbox etc etc. Its just one of those little bonus things.

Didn't realise that.

Is that because it converts the image on upload? Or something you have set?

vBulletin boards can convert/resize avatars on upload that are too big. The conversion of the animated gif then only takes the first frame. Meaning they aren't animated any more.

Signature has to be a static image (why it looks a bit crap) but I have also added your glitter thing to smileys so you can use it sparingly ! If you ever change to VIP you can have smilies in your signature then but not standard animated images I'm afraid.
