    Greetings All,

    Right my son is studying music at school it is a music specialist school he is in his last year and music is his passion mainly rock he has a good collection of guitars electric and acostic

    Now to give him more confidence and also so he can see how he is performing i want to record and upload to youtube so to do that is there any equipment i need to edit etc

    Depends how posh you want it to look, I have uploaded some random 1 minute vids off my phone on to youtube - just make sure you get them the right way up lol.

    (I'm sure someone will give you some proper advice in a bit)

      well they also need to be good enough to show collage when he moves up and any prospective employers and also for if he decides to go freelance

        What have you got ? Digital Video Camera ?

        Easiest thing to do is do a practise vid and upload it, and see if you think the quality/sound etc are good enough for what you want.

        I uploaded MP4's off my phone, and other than I couldnt turn them round and had filmed them sideways, they were fine. There are video editing suites out there but they cost a bit.

            Depending on the OS and default programs installed on your PC/Laptop you may already have video editing software.

            On this laptop I have Windows Movie Maker.

              yes i have windows movie maker on win 7 have never used it so unsure what edit tools it has so thanks ill take a look
