Great job. It's almost gone full circle now. After installing the new and no doubt expensive version of vbulletin (at a time when site funds are described as ''precarious'' and for no other reason than security updates for the existing software might not be available at some unspecified point in the future) they've had Webby (a paid employee) spend the last 3 days painstakingly reinstalling all the old features of the previous software.

Could it get any more ludicrous?

Re: CAG has had an almighty 'upgrade'

well to be perfectly honest, IMO Bookworm has always been an ****, up her own arse, ********* stuck up ***** who likes to make out that she is oh-so-much cleverer than anyone else and belittles the great unwashed at every opportunity. In fact if I ever met her face to face I wouldn't even bother with introductions, I'd more than likely just ***** *** ***** ** *** *** lmao. Not exactly very nice of me but hey ho Kofi is locked up for the evening.

And also to be perfectly honest, perhaps the new peeps (a.k.a Rejects) lol, can now see why there is so much bad feeling between the two sites, albeit most of it originating over there but admittedly well defended by us lot when the need arises. And you may be interested to know that I didn't actually leave, originally, due to any arguments, in fact I didn't even know there had been any until well afterwards. However when I subsequently left, or should I say got banned, I firmly believe it was because I am a Beagle and wouldn't toe the GAG party line, which as we all know is tantamount to treason.

But at the end of the day OTR will never change, Bookie will carry on being a supercilious bitch , Gander wil carry on living in a parallel universe and they will carry on pulling the wool over their poor old subscribers eyes whilst simultaneously alienating the very people they need the most. We are all wasting our time rabbitting on about it cos nowt ever changes does it?

And here endeth Kofi's Thought for Today LMAO xxx

Re: CAG has had an almighty 'upgrade'

Errrm, on reflection, and having read back my last post, I think I should probably edit it to make it a bit less, errr, shall we say....true. I called it as I saw it, those of you who know me well will know that although I (quite rightly lmfao) have the title of Kofi (when I am in a particularly benevolent, ambassadorish sort of mood) I also say what I think, when I think it and bugger the consequences. Which is probably most of the time. Although the original Kofi-ness arose from the last war between us and CAG. Well anyway, I've said I'll edit it, and I will. Just not quite sure which bits to edit yet.

        I'm working on it..........

Well there you go, I've edited it, well sort of anyway. Fill in the blanks as you see fit. Rep points for anyone who gets it spot on lol. But in the interests of harmony pm me the answers, or shall we start a new thread in VIP???

Re: CAG has had an almighty 'upgrade'

I read the comments of Bookworm and to be honest I don't care. At the start of this site we probably did mirror the other site. We probably were pretty angry and we probably were highly critical of them, and quite rightly so and justified. However, once we had got ourselves sorted out, more or less, we moved on to being a campaigning site. We didn't continue the paranoia/general theme of the Bank being the big bad wolf or anything that resembled it. In fact, we had the excellent EXC coverage of the OFT test case from a lay person's perspective and not a press perspective. OTR only turned up at the Supreme Court verdict......very disappointing and their claims of "we were at work" kinda did show them up as losing perspective. The site now is a shadow of what it could have been because it now has become what it criticised others for, an advertisement for goods to buy. There have been times in the last 12 months in which I wasn't sure if I was in a bank on the site with their incessant selling. If you want to marry someone be careful cos the pop up wants you to buy a book on divorce(I think Robbie Williams might have bought cos he has a pre nuptial agreement ).
We have people who are not in team working very hard and extremely knowledgeable on their chosen topics. In fact, the newbies(rejects if you want to call it) can only add to that. I'm sorry that the original "old" team will be the only ones answering the threads. Perhaps they could come over here for their research since none of us really go to their site anymore for information(as we may all of done in the first place).
Fir the newbies who may think they are rejects, you are welcome guests. The fact that it may be quieter here does mean that your other half may be more pleased to see you not tapping at the computer at all hours and you can take her out a bit more .

Well, old Dr Fester Tester won't be leaving there until banned (again) as there are quite few folks still needing a helping hand. It's not their fault the site they have chosen has turned into Goosey's Personal Pension Fund (allegedly), staffed with the paranoid and/or egocentric sycophants.

And it does give me the chance to continually flag up my displeasure. Again, until they ban me.

I thought post/edit history only came in with vBulletin => 3.8.x

                    Must be mistaken. Ooops!

I see red Xs next to some board titles OTR. Not on threads though.

Then again, I can't even log in there now. So hard to tell.

Threads sponsored by The Leeds Losers, The Reigate Reprobates or the Kilmarnock Cowboys perhaps.
