      Nattie I have tried and tried to understand cricket and I just don't get it.

      Explain to me why it can't be 892?

        It was a mistake like batting first, India did and England won the NatWest Series 4:3

          nope, still lost.

          Cricket needs to be explained in simpleton's terms to me I'm afraid.

            Re: BBC, that one day score is not right

            6 balls in an over
            max score with 1 ball is 6
            6x6 =36
            21 overs played so 21x36=756 there could be extras called byes, wides, and no balls but to have that many would be very unlikely.
            so the score is nigh on impossible.

              See, exactly wot I said, it can't have been England, there's about 700 too many runs there!

                        20 overs for each side, so what ever score the first side batting get in 20 overs the other team are chasing that score. It takes about 3 hrs at most for a full game.

                              I forgot to add though the idea of the game is to take wickets, when you have taken 10 wickets thats, that side done.
